*Ask Master Barber and Stylist Dominique Lunn why he does hair and he’ll answer swiftly and simply, “love and passion.”

Those two simple words sum up why as an enlisted interior communications technician Dominique, without prior hairstyle training, gained a reputation for “giving the best cuts on the base.” It was at that time he realized his talent for hairstyling. Fast-forward many years of training and his first styling of row curls and a straw set that was “a hot mess,” and Dominique is now one of the top stylists in the nation. He tours with internationally renowned Master Educator Barry Fletcher and is also the owner of Hair-N-Motion, LLC.

"Team Queen of P.I.N.K." participated in the 2009 Relay for Life Chesapeake, held at Chesapeake City Park. The event lasted through the night, and our fundraiser of light-up rhinestone tiaras generated more funds for the American Cancer Society! To visit the Relay for Life Chesapeake website, click here.

*The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

Although every Relay For Life is different, there are certain traditions at all Relays, no matter where they are held. These traditions help participants celebrate, remember, and fight back.
